HELLO EVERYONE

We have been brainstorming about Camp Gotta Stitch and so far here is what we have planned. First, please make note that we have had to move camp to Oct. 15th and 16th. We will only have camp Friday night, and a full day Saturday. We will be back at the Burgess Osborne Auditorium at 17th and Wabash. If you are new and need directions or a map, please get in touch with us.

Schedule of Events:

Friday, Oct. 15th- Meet and Greet--6:30 pm -?

Saturday, Oct. 16th-- 9:00 am -competition, a TIMELY project, traveling to Amish country for an Amish meal, and of course Stitching and SHOPPING .

You will notice we said we are having a competition. We would love for each of you to bring at least one and no more than three of your stitched pieces to display. YOU,our campers, will vote on "Best of Show", First and Second places.. "You" will be the judges. Please note that you certainly do not have to enter a picture, but we think this will be a lot of fun and the gifts are all Gift Certificates to the Stitcher's Express.

Our project this year has a "Timely" theme. We know many of you have probably seen the Sudberry mini clock. We will have a cute pattern designed by Susie, our resident designer for that clock. Hopefully we can have a picture of the project soon. The price of the Camp is $ 95.00 with a $40 deposit. Limited space and the deadline for signing up is Oct. 1.

Hotels: This year, we have booked a block of rooms at the Days Inn at 300 Broadway Ave. East here in Mattoon.This hotel has been remodeled in the last year. I did a walk thru with one of the personel and it looks good. The rooms we booked are on the inside and all on the first floor. They are still in the process of remodeling the restaurant, but they do have a complimentary breakfast area. They also have a large indoor swimming pool, if you feel like taking a dip. and a large Atrium.The best part is the room rate.---$59.99 per night. You have until Sept. 24 to get this rate and please mention the stitching event when registering. Their phone # is 217-234-8600. Of course if you have a favorite hotel, you can stay there.
